Festival Style for Little People
Slightly late to the game as I know many of the summer festivals have been and gone… and as much as I would LOVE to have attended a 3-dayer as a family the reality is I would HATE it. The kids barely sleep anyway. Right now, they’re NEVER going to sleep in a tent. Or even a yurt. So, the only festival we’ll be rocking up to en famille is The Big Feastival (which I’m SO excited about. The line-up is amazing… Peppa Pig, The Gruffalo, Mr Tumble, a vintage funfair – as well as music, amazing food, some guest speakers I’m really looking forward to hearing and loads more). For one day only. And I love a festival kids look.
It’s my favourite kind of kids fashion shoot to style (for my actual day job as a kid’s stylist) – where kids look like little hippies that have been climbing trees all day – hair messy, having fun, in floaty dresses or cool little bohemian, whimsical numbers. I’d love to bring my kids up in a hippy commune IN MY HEAD. In reality of course, I’d hate it. But it’s a pretty fantasy. Same way as some days I think I’d like to move to the countryside and have horses and unicorns…
So, as I’m looking at cute festival kids Inspo for my own brood I thought I’d put it all together here. Of course, kids can wear absolutely anything to a festival. From full on fancy dress to standard playdate attire. But while they’re little it’s fun to play dress up (and get some cute pics of them). So, here are some pieces you can actually shop right now… my wish list!

PS. On a practical note I’d also advise wellies and waterproofs (weather dependent).
