floral-party-dressDress £52 Mon Marcel at Joujou & Lucy

I’m always a fan of an independent baby & kids boutique and was recently introduced to another lovely one through a colleague… You might already be familiar with Joujou & Lucy if you’re a Maida Vale/West London resident as the shop is on Clifton Road. But, more excitingly for those of us who don’t live within the W9 postcode they have recently relaunched their website – www.joujouandlucy.com – so you can shop from the comfort of your sofa.

Joujou & Lucy stock a lot of great brands – Kissy Kissy, Paul Smith, Stella McCartney Kids, Catimini and my favourite Salt-Water sandals… BUT what makes them different is the customer service. It’s a family run business and the husband and wife team will happily take personal orders, buy in more stock if you need another size, chat to you on the phone and even keep the store open later or earlier if you ask them to. Their prices are competitive (they’re currently running a promo discount on swimwear till the end of June and the sale has also just started) and I really like their edit.

One brand I was aware of previously but have now fallen in love with, mainly due to their expert select is Tartine et Chocolat. Chambray pinafore dresses, the prettiest white broderie style blouses, pale muted pastel baby rompers and French style striped cornflower blue sunhats. And I hadn’t heard of Mon Marcel but LOVE. The floral dress Isabella is wearing in the top pic is one of theirs and the striped baby all-in-one below is just the most perfect unisex summer baby look.

So, here’s my personal wish list for the high summer collection, instore and online now. Below and above as worn by my 3-year-old daughter Isabella who was beyond delighted to play dress up in the prettiest pieces.
