I’m obsessed with stylish girls’ straw, raffia and wicker hats. So I spent the last few days collating the very best.
Australian based, Lorna Murray‘s ethical and sustainable foldable sun hats are all made with natural fibres. Available in a whole range of styles they retail at 135 Australian dollars which works out at approximately £75. Shipping to the UK via DHL.
UPDATE: Now also in stock at Caramel!
Also Australian based, House of Paloma produce thoughtfully crafted, playful collections for kids all made using pure, natural fibres. They hope to be stocked in the UK soon but currently offer free shipping over $200. The Jean Belle hat with a ribbon tie is my most coveted at 65 Australian dollars (approx £36). They’ve also kindly offered 10% off first orders for The Little Stylist readers. Just use the code THANKYOU at checkout.
Don’t they just make an outfit? Definitely future keepsakes, the artisan pieces above also make a pretty, bohemian work of art hung on a wall hook… just take care not to lose them! Always the fear, which is why I’d advise them more for kids aged 3+ than toddlers!
As you can see the above (my two favourites) aren’t UK based. But in my opinion are worth the shipping charges if you can… But, I am very aware that not everyone has the cash (or wants to) to be paying ££ + shipping for kids accessories right now so I’ve included some, also charming, bargains currently available in the UK below. It’s also worth checking Etsy! I often browse + shop there when I’m after unique pieces for shoots.
