MONSOON CHILDREN WINTER EDIT

Just to put it out there from the off – this post is in collaboration with Monsoon. BUT I approached them because I DO genuinely love Monsoon childrenswear and don’t think people are actually aware how lovely it is. Particularly the boy’s clothes – whenever I’m asked to recommend somewhere for classic, stylish, great quality BUT affordable boyswear it’s top of my list.

I think most people would automatically assume Monsoon Children is purely for occasion wear. Bridesmaid dresses, kids suits, wedding guest looks… all that kind of thing. Don’t get me wrong, they do all that very well (the tuxedos are unbeatable). But they have more to offer. SO, I’m thrilled to be able to give you my edit of favourite pieces from the winter & party collections… they’re just the pieces I love most.

Let’s start with the boys.

My son always has a Monsoon pea or duffle coat (this year we’ve gone for the Aiden navy pea) in his winter wardrobe. They look super smart, stylish and last! (Last year’s duffle looks perfect after 6 month’s worth of wear). And I love the knitwear this year. The retro knit jumper is my favourite. Actually, I’d definitely put my daughter in this too. We also own the stripe bobble knit hat!

Then the girls. I’m always much more attracted to the simpler, prettier girls’ pieces – anything a little softer, more romantic rather than heavily embellished and ‘party party’. The blush pink dress with sequin detail is so pretty, I’d style it with the swan bag. And the star cape. The silver sequin dress is perfect because the shape is so simple (plus my daughter would probably cry tears of joy at it!) and the princess collar coats are a dream for the festive season. I also adore the check trousers. So cool. I’d style with tee’s or white ruffle blouses…

Also, how CUTE is the bunny baby romper? Broody? Me? What! Argh…
