Nicola Eyre, mother-of-four, is the founder of Cissy Wears, one of the coolest family & lifestyles stores in the UK.
I’m a longtime fan of Cissy Wears and Nicola’s edit of the most beautiful, coveted collections. Be they fashion, toys, gifts or home & lifestyle pieces. The colour palette instore is a dream, a cloud of muted tones. Every product is considered. Modern, design conscious and with a strong focus on eco-conscious brands. Clearly Nicola’s children (Felix, 13, Cissy, 10, Cassius, 6 and Nico, 4) have the best wardrobes, regularly popping up on her insta feed in pieces I then feel an instant need to buy. Here’s her secrets…
The most worn items in my childrens’ wardrobe’s are… I have Mini Rodini sets that have passed through all four children. Their prints used to be so good and were like nothing else out there!
My personal favourite items in their wardrobe’s are… I have (instagram famous) things I can never part with like Cissy’s Quenotte horse print dress and the legendary Tao fluffy babysuit. I’m really enjoying the Mabli knits this season so bringing them to the shop for AW20.
When they need new shoes we go to… Veja kids trainers, Angulus and Young Soles.
My favourite brand to dress my own children in is… Repose AMS.
Every season I buy the kids new… H&M black skinny treggings for the boys.
The best new baby gift I recieved was… a bath support that saved my back!
My changing bag of choice is… Jem & Bea’s black leather Jemima bag.
When I’m buying for Cissy Wears I look for… No nonsense! No silly tags, slogans, unneccessary frills or additions. I look for good materials, classic styles and a mix and match colour palette which means we can buy less and hand down to the next child.
My kids rebel against my style choices by… Cissy won’t wear long skirts and Nico refuses to wear dresses. I’m not too bothered on the dresses but I wish we could agree on a midi skirt.
Other places I shop for my kids include… Arket, Cos, MamaOwl.
On my shopping list right now…
